Leicestershire Trading Standards Service are advising during this period of uncertainty regarding Covid-19, that there appears to be some people who are taking advantage of the situation.

They have heard reports that people are offering to buy essentials on behalf of the elderly and vulnerable who are self isolating. Instead are taking the money and not bringing any goods to them; This is theft.

EASTER DUCK HUNT - CANCELLED

Following a meeting of the full Council yesterday, 16th March 2020, it was resolved unanimously that all forthcoming Parish Council organised events are cancelled at this time due to continuing concerns in respect of the coronavirus and Covid-19. Therefore it is with regret that I must advise that the EASTER DUCK HUNT scheduled for Saturday 11th April 2020 is cancelled.

As you will be aware due to the ongoing situation regarding Covid-19 the Government have announced that all elections - which includes the election for a new Police Crime Commissioner will be postponed to 2021. The next due date for elections is 6 May 2021.

Late November 2020, Glenfield Parish Council will be organising a Christmas Fayre which will involve a range of gift and craft stalls and the switching on of the Christmas lights at Park House.
