There have been three distraction burglaries reported in Leicesteshire this week, one of which was in Glen Parva. The incidents happened on Wednesday afternoon and the description of the perpetrator was the same for all three incidents.

In 2018, 14 of Leicestershire's libraries will be converted to a self-access Smart Library after a successful trial in Syston.
Glenfield library is one of these libraries.
Self-access means that library members will be able to use their library card to access the building outside of staffed hours. This means the hours that the library is accessible to library service users can be significantly increased.... Read More »

A landlord has been ordered to pay over £5000 after being convicted of four offences under the Housing Act.
Satwinder Singh Phull was fined £4,250 at Leicester Magistrates' Court, and told to pay the Council's full costs of £867.53 as well as a Victim Surcharge of £125. The £5,242.53 will be paid in £500 instalments.
