Leicestershire Trading Standards Service are advising during this period of uncertainty regarding Covid-19, that there appears to be some people who are taking advantage of the situation.
They have heard reports that people are offering to buy essentials on behalf of the elderly and vulnerable who are self isolating. Instead are taking the money and not bringing any goods to them; This is theft.

Two men have been charged with burglary at a salon in Glenfield.
Constandinos Kouroushi, 50, of Highfield Road, Groby, Leicester, and Matthew Noble, 44, of New Fields Square, Leicester, have both been charged with burglary at White's Hair and Beauty salon on 30 June 2018.
The charge alleges that beauty products to the value of £179.65 were stolen.

There have been three distraction burglaries reported in Leicesteshire this week, one of which was in Glen Parva. The incidents happened on Wednesday afternoon and the description of the perpetrator was the same for all three incidents.

A new inspector has taken over as commander of policing across the Hinckley and Blaby Neighbourhood Policing Area (NPA).
Inspector Emma Maxwell brings 18 years' policing experience to the new role after joining Leicestershire Police back in 2000.
